Hair for
Men and Women

Generally, men are to have short hair and women are to have long hair. Not everyone have such a thing. There have been men with long hair and women with short hair. I have even seen a women that practically shaved her head. Those are not natural.
That is because for one thing, it does not show glory for them "and" they are not being themselves. A man with long hair would look like a woman and if he wants credit, I would give my credit to the women and not that man who wants the credit. The hippies had men that had long hair and there were practically no accomplishments from that hippie generation. Same thing with a woman. I would give credit to men and not that woman with short hair.

1 Cor. 11;13-16.
13. I will let you judge for yourselves. Is it proper for a woman to pray to God unveiled?
14. Does not nature itself teach you that it is dishonorable for a man to wear his hair long, while the long hair of a woman is her glory?
15. Her hair has been given her for a covering.
16. If anyone wants to argue about this, remember that neither we nor the churches of God recognize any other usage.

First Corinthians describes about the hair for men and women and should be that way. It should be that way because it is from God and after all, God is God. He is always correct.

Some people say that the Jews have had long hair even back then. They much likely thought so because Hollywood has portrayed the Jews back in the time of King David and others. Which is not true at all because of this one verse here. Ninety per cent of the times (and this is the number I am guessing at. Definitly most of the times), Hollywood does not know what it is talking about. Hollywood does not really care about the whole truth. If there movies make money for them even though they are not completely true, they will still show those movies.
Lev. 19;27.
Do not clip your hair at the temples, nor trim the edges of your beard.
So we know from that verse that King David and the others did "not" have long hair. Only their temple hairs were long.

The Shroud of Turin

People including Hollywood thought that Jesus Christ had long hair too. Much likely because of the Shroud of Turin. They say that the Shroud of Turin is the Shroud of Jesus Christ. And that shroud showed a guy that had long hair. Of coarse, it is not true. And here are the reasons why.

If Jesus Christ would have long hair, that would go against 1 Cor. 11:13-16. Jesus is perfect and does not go against anything in the bible including first Corinthians. So if Jesus does not go against first Corinthians, then he always had short hair.

Another reason why the Shroud of Turin is not the shroud of Jesus Christ is because when they nailed Jesus to the cross, he was pierced through the palms of his hands. Not his wrists. The shroud to the left shows that this man was pierced through his wrists.
Psalm 22:17.
Indeed, many dogs surround me, a pack of evildoers closes in upon me; they have pierced my hands and my feet;

John 19;40.
They took Jesus' body, and in accordance with Jewish burial custom bound it up in wrappings of cloth with perfumed oils.
The verse in John tells that Jesus was buried with "more than one" pieces of cloth. Note the word wrappings, plural. The shroud is only one peice of cloth. Not more than one.
